A journey from sales and coaching to webdesign

My teenage wish was to pursue a career in commercial art or graphic design. Unfortunately this ambition faded along with a growing resistance to the harsh, tyrannical regime of my English high school.

When I left school I began working in sales. During the next 15 years I developed an attentive customer service attitude, upon which I built a very successful sales company in London. Most of all, I enjoyed delivering sales training to my employees, which inspired me to start working as a trainer / coach in the UK and the Netherlands.

By the age of 50 I was happily settled in Amsterdam, however the next few years would deliver the toughest challenge of my life, as I became seriously ill with a virus. Surprisingly, it was during the grueling 18 month anti viral treatment, that my artistic talent re-emerged. Forced to 'cocoon' at home throughout this cure, I began painting, making graphics and using internet to contact the outside world. I was becoming more and more interested in the power of internet based communication.

Fortunately the intense cure was successful and a long road of recovery lay before me until I would be able to work again. It was at this time I decided to make a complete change and follow my passion, by investing in my re-discovered creative talent. In the next five years I developed my flair for design and learnt how to create websites.

Now I enjoy creating affordable web sites, using my communication skills and marketing knowledge to help people develop the right web solutions for their business. Clients say they appreciate the quality of service received and their sites are successfully attracting new customers.

I consider myself to be a very fortunate person.
