Domain Name

A domain is your address on the Internet. A good domain name will include your main keyword and describes you or your company. That makes your website easier to remember for your visitors. A complex domain name which is difficult to spell can cause you to lose visitors; a typo is easily made, and visitors may think that your site does not work.

Your domain name can be registered for 1 year. To make your site more discoverable to search engines it is better to register for 2 years.

The prices for domain names vary and depend on the suffix. A reasonable price:

1 year registration for. com = €9.50 excluding VAT
1 year registration for. com. net. org = €12.50 ex VAT

To prevent spam, you can choose to hide your email address for spammers at the "WhoIs domain name register", this costs €5, - per year.  Anyone can find information in this register on websites, contact, registration date, expiration date and contact information.

In order to avoid unnecessary or hidden costs, it is wise to ask your webdesign studio to register your domain name.
